here's where i did the one in my 21

epoxyed in the new 10 ply 3/4 wood for gas tank floor panel.

epoxyed the floor panel's new wood in and them put glass over it to hold in place. then cut in the access hatch for the fuel lines. i hate a floor hatch to stick up and be a toe buster so i took the router and recessed in the floor hatch.

This is where there had to be a 1/4 inch more spacing for fuel fill

Here's the glass i used for the panel, i shouldn't ever need glass again. This is 42" wide and 250 yard roll. just got plus the other the guy gave too it's 3/8 inch glass in bottom pic heavy heavy crap

Re: Hatch cover repair.

hum i wonder lol i got that roll free *;D they make it in Gibsonville, NC for boat manufactures. when a roll doesn't roll on straight or runs out before a full spool they toss it out. which then you stop by and asking if they have any bad runs they say sure go out back get what ya want lol *;D
