you can use wax paper over it and squeegee it smooth

I like MJ's golf tee idea, seeing as how I've got 20,000 of them sitting in front of me ;D

It works great for screw holes in the deck and stuff! I have even used them in my house for worn door hinge holes, gule hammer cut rescrew works out great!!
