Re: BOOTY CALL

hammer, if engine rpm's increase, the stator or alternator will put out more volts, I'm not sure how many volts are to many though, if its putting out to much voltage it could be the voltage regulator. very nice pics, the enclosure looks great, have a great new year!

Lumber, where you here that at ??
That info came threw our station the other day as well.
Think the guy jumped off the Ferry.
Thanks Mod7, the enclosure worked well after some alterations. Will to many volts blow the batteries or wiring ?

Hammer, the regulator or and rectifier are easy to test w/ a meter. When I get home I can look in the book for ya. Lookin sharp my man.

Nice pic's!!

Yea I like that you have cloth about 18" high to keep plastic clean. Thats what I will do.

I go from 12V to 15V in mine, never got a high reading warning.

But if you are really getting to much juice ck the battery's water level, the battery will cook them till they are junk!

Keep the water up till you find out if you have a problem.

Re: BOOTY CALL

Hammer from what I know on my equipment, the engine will often produce more juice than is needed by electrical components, my fishfinder tells me how many amps/volts are on line when it's running. The equipment should have a regulator on it to prevent over juicing and there should be an in line fuse also to protect it from excess and spikes which all systems occassionaly produce.
The one to ask is Franco, among his many attributes he is real good with 12volt systems and can tell you what to check or whether you ca ignore it.
