Re: Pretty boat

I have 2 different friends with that exact same boat. One is navy like that 2nd pic and the other is carolina blue. The navy has a 200hp Yamaha 4 stroke and the other I can't remember. Fished along side the navy one and he got better fuel economy than me (of course). And man will that thing fly with that 200! Over 50mph I'm sure! They're nice but I think each one has around or over 40 grand in a 20ft boat. :-/

Re: Pretty boat

The boat with a blue(light) or a yellow hull and 150 HP 4stroke Suzzy and a aluminum dual axle is 31 G's after some negotiation.
Also he is going to give me 6 G's for my V20 minus my 9.9 Suzuki and minus my Lowrance 3500C.
Besides the boat itself which was very nice, that deal is hard to pass up. Especially since I can't seem to sell my V thru this site and I have seen other sweet V's just sitting.
Have not decided for sure but thinking hard about it.

Oh and the 150 Suzuki version does 47 mph flat out. Don't know when I would ever do that if ever but it does move

Re: Pretty boat

Willy, it's a darn perty boat, and I think that the price is fair as well. *Sounds like you'd be out of pocket around 25g's or so? *Man, I'd have to think about that also. *Fresh shiny gelcoat, new motor w/ warranty, mmm tempting. *So, does it come with a 30 day free trial on the supermodel? ;D

Last thing I'll ask ya, thought you wanted to downsize to a tinboat that you could singlehand a little easier?

No matter where your heart leads ya, you ain't being released from this site. ;)

Re: Pretty boat

Thanks Air, I love you guys man :'(

You are correct, I am going thru a major decision making process now.
I found the salt (and some fresh water) boat I think I would prefer.
On the other hand I have also got a good price on a well equipped 18ft G3 aluminum all outfitted and 1 year old with 35 hours on a 2006 Yammi 90 2stroke. A $600 trolling motor set up, two expensive fishfinders and a load of other equipment. It belongs to a local dealer who is a friend of mine and it will mount my 9.9 on it for free.
Though it is G3's salt water boat too that would not be my main use other than some back bay, shallow water and river stuff. $8,800 and no tax ::)
That is where I'm at now. The salt is an hour to an hour and a half from me and I am lucky to get there once a week. On the other hand I got three huge fresh water impoundments within 10-20 minutes from me and the delaware river 30 minutes. The river and the bays I can use the big motor along with Lake Hopatcong in the north about an hour. The rest are all 9.9 and electric only.
I am being honest with you guys I am not sure and really torn on it. I love the salt but hard to get to, plus for me to launch and retrieve often by myself it is tough.
I used to go out with my tin boat and fish a few times a week and I could launch and everything by myself even after a long day and with one hand tied behind my back.
I got to make a decision in the next couple of days and I still can't decide :-/

Uh oh, the fumes got to ya!

Nevermind what I said about cops can't afford new boats.

Willy, that Suzuki 150 is a close relative to my Johnson 140. You will love it. Quiet, smooth, economical, plenty of power.

Go for it man, you only live once, at least in the flesh.

Re: Pretty boat

You were postin while I was. Hard to beat that deal on the G-3.

I bet some of these other guys will take you saltwater when you wanna go. Or do like I do and get on a headboat now and again. $60 bucks for a day offshore and someone else cleans the boat when you get back.
