Angler, gotta admire you for sticking up for I/O in an outboard jungle. I won't knock an I/o in terms of performance, but IMO and alot of others, you can get more trouble free hours out of an outboard and they do not require as much maintenance. Also, if I had to pick a motor that was more prone to the salt monster (corrosion due to saltwater usage) I'd have to say the I/O, but that's just my opinion. Ask 10 people get 10 different answers.

I'd just love to ride on one. Something about the black smoke and diesel fumes lets your brain know: "You're goin fishin and you mean business!"

Re: Question about repower

Ah Yes, I also love the smell of diesel fuel in the morning especially after drinking whiskey all night and having a big greasy plate of ham and eggs... Hey,speaking of the big sport fishies, I stopped at jarrett bay the other night for gas and the boys are all seriously tuning them up for the big rock and they really sound good kind of like giant Harleys with straight pipes. I saw several new arrivals from out of state including Sensation from Key West which I think belongs to a big time pro golfer. The local boys think that none other than big Randy Ramsey himself will be running his new Jarrett custom. If I get the name I will post it so you all can follow him ( not too close) out of the inlet when the whistle blows..I can't imagine what it must cost to keep these puppies running from tournament to tournament...Frank
