Re: Racor fuel filter/water separator
Just remember that plastic bowls permeate gasoline vapors and should not be placed in areas where gas vapors can accumulate. *The Coast Guard really frowns on this.
There is no need to filter below 10 microns for gas engines. Gas injectors and pumps are significantly less... precise than their diesel counterparts. |
Re: Racor fuel filter/water separator
I agree.
This is gonna be installed on the OUTSIDE bulkhead of the motor well compartment, easy to see and work on and ....No fumes to deal with. ;) |
Re: Racor fuel filter/water separator
I have been looking at the RACOR site to get some more information,
one thing I could not find is their recomendation for time between element changes, anybody have a guess or information? |

Re: Racor fuel filter/water separator
they recomend changing when the vacuum on the poutlet side gets too high( its a way to sell vacuum gauges and not be libal about change intervals) I'd have to agree on the once a year minimum, otherwise I'd figure once every 1000 gals? Keepa spare with you, never know when you might need it
