Re: Pulpit install / assembly...

How about clamping another piece of some thing along side the pulpit so your not trying to cut with just one side of the hole saw?

You Air. great Pics. Brother. ;) Not sure what to do with the chain pipe. You could always order another small piece of starboard and raise teh pipe so its flush with the pulpit. If you go that route, it will give me more time to catch up to you. I attempted to work on mine today, but was held back by stupid little things. Like not having long enough arms to get the cleak off the bow. All I needed was someone to hold a dam screw driver while I was in the cuddy with a ratchit. And of course, I'm to damm stubborn to ask somebody for help on something so stupid. >:(

Looking at it more, if I slid it forward 2", I could just lop the corner off? I have only test fit the 8lb danforth. I need to test the 13 and a wreck hook before I commit to the final position anyway. ;)

Rick as long as the pulpit is clamped firmly in the drill press there should be no problem. Billy Mac ;D

Do as Mac said, once you have the hole started it will go just fine!!

You don't want to go to far forward, it will be a lot of Leverage and not enough to ohld to the bow.

Hammer, I did mine alone ;) Of course I slid the hammer handle through the hole for the pipe, that held the vice grips still so that I could operate the screwdriver ;D

AIRSLOT, stupid question. I noticed your chain hole covering faces towards you. Is that normal ??, figured you would have it facing the pulpit. Or is that just a demo shot to show the problem. Also, how is the PVC installed on the underside ?? I like it. ;)

Re: Pulpit install / assembly...

It was facing me when I was in the cuddy, and worked well that way. You have to feed the rode out, can't just let her fly :o

As for the PVC, it was 4200'd through the deck into the pipe and down below, it had a hose clamp above and below the liner...if that makes sense

SLOT...STOP!!... Hammer just touched on the solution to this...use a 1/4" piece of Starboard under all the pulpit...w/a strategicly placed "ear" that goes out the side to leave enough room to mount the pipe AND kill out the old hole...OR just use the ''ear'' only...flat edge tight against the side of the pulpit and large enough to mount the pipe and kill the hole...

Re: Pulpit install / assembly...

Thats a good Idea!! I covered a gas tank filler hole that was all messed up and then remounted it, looks great!

I have some 3/8 starboard which would be perfect, But its a off white? Looks white till you get it right up next to white white.

Any way its yours if you want it, send me measurement I will send.
