FYI - You don't have to be a cop to run the numbers. I did it just last month.

Living on the lake, a big windstorm rolled through and blew a guy's jetski off its jetdock doohicky and the thing floated up to my place. I quickly went down there and tied it off while it was close to the dock. I wrote down the numbers and called them in on a number I got on-line. They gave me the guy's name and I looked up his phone number.

Any place that does registration will run the numbers for you. This was some sporting goods place or something. Call the NC dept. of natural resources.

If I recall correctly, "Size 5" may be a new screen name. Same person and boat, just a new name. I wanna' say it was "Teacher's Pet", but that could be way off.
