Its when there not enough tongue weight that you have problems trailering. Trust me, when I bought my '72 with twin 140's holy moly it was impossible to go over 50 mph without fishtaling off the road!! :o

I really want to thank you all! I was looking at 200 lb for TW - luckily I posted here. So 400 plus it is. Will see what it is tomorrow. I guess between 400-500 and it will be okay. Man 440 + seems so heavy to be pushing down on that 5000 lb hitch and truck frame.

there's no way you would go 10% on large loads. If a boat weighed 9200 lbs there's no way you should put 920 lbs on a trailer hitch.

I had to slide my axle assembly back 2'' to get more TW...Like BR's it was fishtailin' BAD, but now it's perfect...don't think it's 10% of 4600, but I ain't gonna try to lift it!!... :P...

I have to disagree. *At that weight it's even more important but you would need a weight distribution system on the hitch. *To tow that heavy of a boat you would need a minimum of 3/4 ton truck, preferably a 1 ton, w/tow package. *900 pounds is not too much for that truck. *I wouldn't go 15%, but 10 is fine.
