Re: Today
Man, I hope to god this isnt the part I need. Dont have the cash for that. When I first bought the boat, within a week, a so called boat repair guy removed a box looking like that off the front of my motor. Didnt know what it was and said I didnt need it. *:-/ :'( :'( :'( :'(

Re: Today
Airslot, I'll snap a few pictures of my motor and post them. If its there, maybe you or somebody can point it out to me.

Re: Today
That V20 looks sweeeeet! You can definantly see the pride of ownership. You might want to check a couple salvage yards for the voltage regulator if thats what you end up needing, over $400 sounds like a "factory authorized dealer " price to me.

Re: Today
Thanks for the compliment Bradford. Couldnt have done the work without the help from the guys on this board.

Re: Today
Looks like maybe the rectifier/regulator is one unit. That part is about $30.

Re: Today
Hammer, there were two option on an 86' 200. There was a 15 amp system that had the trhe post rectifier that I posted about bottom of first page for 32. Apparently there was also a 16 amp system that used a box with five wires coming out of it that sells for 108. Pic and price at this site:

Re: Today
Thanks Airslot. I think mine had the black box with the five wires coming out of her. Why it was disconnected, I have no idea. Not gonna run her anymore till I get her checked out.
