Re: Keel roller pics for Hammer
Hammer, MJ is right I did do it. The green paint is a rust stopping variety I sprayed on the new holes through the galvanized parts. Green was all I had and I wasn't willing to make another trip to the hardware store for grey. There was only an old piece of tire rubber over the metal when I got the boat and the bow damage is still there. My brother builds surfboards and will reglass this next winter after I fix it up.

Re: Keel roller pics for Hammer
Sounds like a plan. I should be out playing with it now, but I guess I'll try and wire those LED lights. That will be a pain. Either pull the freshly cauled fish holders out, run the wire all the way around to the other side where the fuse box is or just run it across the ceiling of teh cuddy. Decisions, decisions. :-/

...or you could run it around the hatch-opening ;)...is there an edge of carpet or whatever on the ceiling to stick it under as it goes around??... |

Re: Keel roller pics for Hammer
I hope that works for ya. Not to nit-pick, but isn't that a bow stop roller? I don't think the outer wings on the roller will offer any support, you know, if it goes on there crooked. I am assuming with this setup, you will be winching it on, and not driving it up. If so, that should be just dandy. My trailer has a 10" wide roller in that area, but I drive mine on.
Oh, Hammer, don't use the black rollers, they just will not hold up. Ask me how I know. Use one made out of the same material that Tunahead has. |

Thanks Frayed. I'll be doing some O.T. this weekend, so that project will be coming soon enough. I could just go and buy a Keel guard, but they are the worst overpriced item I have seen.
