Flounder, I have been on a few sites like your bimmer site, and THT is one of them. They do get real snooty on there. I have seen folks that get hammered because they don't have a "wheel". I'd just as soon not foster that kind of environment, not that it would happen, like on your bimmer site, but it could happen, like on the THT site. If we need $$ to keep the motor running, all that needs to happen is word to leak out, there would be plenty of $$ flow to fill up the tank. ;)

Auctions, dates with MJ, etc...... all work if they help support the board. I say post a "support the board" link and let people donate as they see fit, anomalously (when the need for $$ is at hand).

FLOUNDER...I may have chosen my words poorly...SOME people (not all) who sport wheels on THT come across as snobs ... did not mean to infer all people who financially support forums are all snobs ...hope you did not take it that way.

Reel,

Not a problem. I didn't infer that from your post. My overall intent was financial support of the board. I see that the board is in good shape with its membership and we would stand up and help when the time comes. Lets end this discussion and go back talking about our boats! :)
