Sorry about your skeg Step. Please, don't try bending the skeg back. It[ won't hurt anything leaving it the way it is. "If it ain't broke don't fix it".
Honestly, I wouldn't try it, and I used to weld for a living. Aluminum is an unforgiving biatch. . |
Destroyer,I watched YouTube and watched people straighten out the skeg by tapping it with a block of wood on the opposite side, I'm not going to try to bend it I'm going to try to. Straighten it by tapping it mints not bad at all but if I could move it a 1/8 of a inch it would be pretty close, I'm going to get it repaired in the fall when I stop using my boat . Someone said it will cost about $500.00 and that's with a new waster impeller put in.
What happened to spareparts? He hasn't posted anything for awhile. Hope he is ok. |
