So, we got our "big" check.
My brother and I go up and they're like, "that's the whole crew?" and we said "no, the other guy is in Florida".

All the other boats go up with 6 man crews. They probably all spent $900 on gas in the tournament....

The 1st place boat was not in any calcuttas (side bets) and got a check for $19000. The 2nd place boat was in all of the calcuttas and took a check for $114000!

ATE TUNA 5 times this week (had a yellowfin from last Thurs). I cannot describe how f-ing good it is but here are some pix. Had to take a break from tuna one night. we put $100 worth of bft sashimi in the trap at the dock. Got seven keeper blueclaws next day. I haven't eaten steamed blueclaws in 25 years (I'm a sucker for a soft-shell crab sammich though!). They were a pain in the *** until the beer kicked in....

The mako...I gave it all away. Didn't care for it last time and I have a shipload of bluefin so why settle?????

Guy with the 23cc wanted $35k last year but why buy the cow when you can fish it thru the fence? Love the ride but just don't like center consoles. I have big feet and they have no room. I know cuddys/expresses don't ride as nice due to position of the pilot but I need an express layout. Been seriously looking at late '80s 24 North Coast and early 2000s Grady 265 Express:love:. But I'm a cheap bastard....:hi:

btw...Monday/Tuesday is tuna weather..... If its Skunkboat its Chicken Canyon...might have a ride to canyons on a 42cc Scout

When I started my quest for my little Airslot I only found 4 of them for sale nationwide. I was just lucky that one of them was semi-local. BUT I did find lots (about a dozen) Airslot 24's for sale. You might want to consider one of them also. I know they are older and you have to think outside the box on them as far as looks go. They are not a Tri-hull, or a Cathedral hull either. More like a Deep-V hull with sponsons. They have an absolutely great ride, are stable as a rock and have a TON of deck room.

Those 24s are beasts and would look really cool if someone did one up right.
