I'll have a Negra Modelo, thanks.

Too bad for you this didn't come out back when I was drinking Natty or Busch Light.

As per spare's advice I changed out my 3 mechanical fuel pumps, took her for a ride today ,shut her down and drifted for a while . I restarted her with no issues what so ever .however a couple of previous posts got me thinking , the day before I noticed the Problem I had added a 2nd battery on the boat. Before heading out todayI looked in the battery compartment and I found the primer ball laying dead flat behind one of the battery's and wonder if that could have caused my hard starting issue..just a thought !

Might want to move the primer bulb to the splashwell to keep potential leaks or fumes from getting in the bilge, especially right by your batteries. Move your fuel filter there too if not already there.

Yup. Solid hose from the tank to the filter located in the splashwell outside any underdeck area. Primer bulb in the hose coming from the filter to your engine. The idea is to reduce to zero any chance of gas fumes collecting in your bilge just waiting for a spark to ignite them

You guys are absolutely rite !!!! I swear I must be getting soft in the head cause I certainly know better .it just didn't register, I was just preacing the dangers of not opening cabin doors and compartments when fueling up to my son in law yesterday ,but that little life saver slipped rite by me.

Just wanted to thank Spare again for the advice on changing the mechanical fuel pumps on the Yamaha, I spent the entire morning out fluking and restarted the boat 20/30 times ,she ran perfectly! I don't get a whole lot of time to spend out their so the little time I do is real precious to me and the help is as always much appreciated !

With a user name like steplift how can we bump you off na you can stay in my book by the way what boat did you get and how would you compare it to the steplift

Now that i thonk of it my boat does the same thing sometimes i have to advance the throttle to start it if i dont she just sputters out but not all the time

Steplift , I now have a winner walk around as you can see in my signature. It's very well built. It's just not a v20 hull unfortunately,it won't cut through a chop the way my v did but as I said it's very well built and has a fantastic layout with a very wide and deep walk-around that I now need as well as a very big cabin.
