I don't, my V is a junker and I have so many projects that likely I'll never finish it but have seen them in action on LOTS of boats....

I've never found ANYONE with anything bad to say about them except for people who had no experience with them and just wanted to argue the foil vs tabs thing because the foil is what they'd always run......

Again and again tabs just flat out work and work well.

Just some feedback.
Took the boat out Saturday with the good weather. Seems to leap on plane at lower speed with the hydrofoil. Also more stable when heading straight but that might just be my perception. Overall I'm happy with it.

Awsome!! Glad it worked out. I had a 16 foot whaler (16SL) once with a 90 on the back and that thing would porpous up and take a little bit to get on plane .. once I put on stingray foil... bam! like a new machine.. faster out of hole, handled better.. it was like a new boat!!

I have the SE s port on my 140 suzuki and it works awesome!

I realize this is not a new thread but I installed the SE300 Hydrofoil on my Pursuit. Took the boat out yesterday and what a difference !! It just jumped up on plane ,I was more than impressed. No more prop blow out on turns either... I couldn't play around much with it as I had to go out and retrieve my son in law who broke down with a fuel issue. ,, these kids ruin everything !!!!!

My 200 has fins but I didn't install them, never would either.

I am at a loss as to how the hole shot would improve, seems almost certain it would increase drag & slow the hole shot. Without any speed the fins do almost nothing, its the prop thrust that does all the work.

I've run dozens of motors with & without foils, can't say they do a thing.

Has anyone (other than the company selling them) tested these things?

Testify about the tabs though, my v doesn't have them & does OK, but man they are the cats meow in steep swells.

Fins work, period. I've added them to several boats, and had good results, but they're not for every boat. I added one of the aluminum permatrims to my skiff, and actually gained top end speed while reducing my porpoising. The main function they serve is to redirect the prop wash above the prop, and direct it downward. This is how they help down low. And if your engine height is correct, they add very little if any drag on the top end because they should be pretty much out of the water on plane.
