Re: 20 foot CC Seacraft SF20
do you think a guy that puts out that kind of work ignored a soft floor, yet restored the rest of the boat....probably not.

Re: 20 foot CC Seacraft SF20
Floor may not "feel" soft yet. Go to www.classicseacraft.com and you will find almost all the old "Potter" hull 20'ers have bad stringers. Potter hulls were from 1969-1980.

Re: 20 foot CC Seacraft SF20
Here's a "69 20 that was restored. He didn't know he had bad stringers, no soft spots, yet. Then he removed some of the deck....surprise! *Shows the resto process:

Re: 20 foot CC Seacraft SF20
TinMan, our chief here on wellcraftv20.com is restoring a 20' Seacraft. Complete resto like those others. He's been on that classicseacraft.com site longer than here. When he was living here in New England he helped his friend (the site administrator over there) Jason Goldfarb (Trayder on that site) redo one of his projects.
Just a little background for ya. ;) |
Re: 20 foot CC Seacraft SF20
yea, I realize that...."bigshrimpin", huh?
The link I posted above is Trayder's (Jason's) boat. In fact there's pics of both Trayder and Bigshrimpin doing the resto....the "correct" way. |
Re: 20 foot CC Seacraft SF20
My biggest concern would be the 40 gal fuel tank...even w/today's fuel-efficient OBs, that ain't enough...
Nice work on the boat, though ;)... |
