I thought about you when I first saw it Skool ;) Already got the bracket! 120 gallons should make for some decent range too!

Re: 1984 25' Wellcraft For Sale
Skools,
The wiring isn't pretty, but it works as far as running lights, dash lights, horn, bilge pump. I will be taking off the guages related to the engines. I seem to recall that only one of the two battery guages was functioning. |
Re: 1984 25' Wellcraft For Sale
yeah i have a set of twin's gauges and controls that are for Johnson/Evinrude that would work. I thought about BR's twin 140's to save on fuel, hum still thinking on twin 225's or 140's hummmmmmmm ??? ???
Heck i might ask the neighbor about a set of twin Yamaha's at cost in 4 stroke 200's |
Re: 1984 25' Wellcraft For Sale
The boat had Suzuki 140's when I bought it. Strangely, they were 20"... Apparently they worked, but only for about ten minutes during my first time on the water :-/

Re: 1984 25' Wellcraft For Sale
Maco,
Maybe it's the same boat ???. Previous owner was an older man by the name of Tom Jordan. I believe he lives in Whittier, NC. He used to take the boat out offshore off the gulf |

Re: 1984 25' Wellcraft For Sale
Hey guys, just a quick point of clarifcation with regard to my boat that's for sale.
Skools may be especially interested in the following: I have it listed as a model 250, but it's actually a 248. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused... |
Re: 1984 25' Wellcraft For Sale
The 248 sportsman was an excellent boat and I had an 84 which in my opinion cut through the chesapeake chop as well as the big heavy Grady off shore 24 which my friend had back in those days. The only problem with the 25's of the 80's was they could of all used a much smaller cockpit and more fishing space but they were great boats and easy to walk around and sit up front. I would love to see that hull with the small design v-20 cockpit. I just had a 235 johnson on mine and with 4 guys and a full fish box I could get 33 out of her on a calm day.Frank
