I watched it again last weekend ! WHAT A GREAT MOVIE ! I love the part when they are showing scars and tatoos before the big guy hits there boat! I was 18 when it came out and I did not go swiming at the cape that whole summer I cant beloive it's been that long since it came out .
we ar going to need a bigger V20 !! LOL:oh: |
in the behind the scene show, they talked a lot about the USS Indianapolis story, the story had been classified for many years after WW2, so not many people knew about it. They had a couple of survivors speaking about it and how Jaws was the first time many people knew about what they had gone thru, it was pretty cool

i had just learned to scuba dive when that came out. first couple of months i dove, all i was doing was looking over my shoulder the whole dive.
my favorite line was when Hooper was about to get in the shark cage, " Ain't got no spit" that was our mantra while diving that summer. great movie, thanks for the link |
Jaws is one of my all time favorites. The Inside Story video was great to watch.
The best movies get parodied. Jaws is no exception. "Nobody Listens to Quint's Tale" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_op16...gIpknd0LHi-iaG |
Sorry... I don't share the enthusiasm that some do for old wood boats. My first boat larger than a rowboat was a 17' lapstrake Grady White. Solid boat, with good lines... but the yearly scraping, calking and painting was simply a pain in the a$$. I'll stick with fiberglass boats thank you.

Yesterday when I got home from work my 15 and 13 year old daughters asked out of the blue if I had ever seen Jaws...yes...is it scary?...yes, but I was 9 then.
So they said they were going to watch it...they are watching it again tonight. |

Saw this thread link in another forum and thought you salty sea dogs might appreciate it too.
Lots of cool old Jaws pics from behind the scenes and some cool info about how they did certain things. The Orca was transformed from a boat formally known as Warlock. http://monsterkidclassichorrorforum....cs.html?page=1 |
