I bought the 86 from Reel. He was very generous to haul it from Spartanburg to Folly Beach for the transfer. He wouldn't even accept gas money! I definitely owe him a few cold ones at least.

I've since taken off the stainless wheel, helm and cable, teak trim, bow rail, sliding hatch, deck hinges, anchor line chocks, and whats left of the swim platform to go onto my project Chaparral 21.

She still has 4/5's of the wind sheild, rubber rub rail, stainless cleats, a mercury(?) oil tank, and 1/2 of GarageNC's Kid Rock cd.

I stripped the worn out nylon rope from the rub rail, shop vac-ed out the bilge, and washed her in the freezing cold. :nut:

Anyone from here who wants the hull is welcome to it, or I'll include my single axle aluminum trailer with a new axle, new bearings, new springs, and rusty steel winch post with a can of Ospho for $400.

This one is gonna be a lot more long term/low budget/DIY.

bradford 02-13-2014 12:21 PM

rb437 if you are in need of the rubrail let me know.

She still has the rod boxes too. They are border line in my opinion, they aren't junk, but a couple of the flanges are cracked and a fresh coat of paint would do wonders. If you are close or riding through they might be worth using for a low budget build/repair.

Also the fish box hatch is solid, I know these get spongy so if someone is needing one let me know.

She still has the black tinted lexan bilge access door with the Wellcraft "W" logo on it. Kinda hazy looking, but it might clean up for someone.

The only problem parting her out is that it's gets exponentially harder to get rid of to someone else.

Parting out stuff, I ran into freight issues.. That is why I never minded making a roadtrip, for you or anyone else. You need a camera, your doing some neat stuff. It would be nice to document.
