use the word "Introduces" with 1 being I, 2 being N, 3 being T,....
Look at the last letters in the numbers on the tag, that will give you the last two digits in the year model

Thanks Spare. But I have another problem. Can't find any tags on the motor. It was rebuilt right before he stopped using the boat so I'm wondering if it was a bolted on tag it didn't make it back on.

Hi Dirt. Welcome to the site. I used to have a John Allmand (25' flybridge) Great boat, but a little too narrow for my taste. Always rolled a bit when at rest, although under full power that thing would fly. Anyways good luck with your new toy. These are great boats and you're gonna love her.

So this is the welsh plug. So being there is no s in introduced is it an 85(Co)?

sounds about right, btw, all the OMC oil injection sucked when it left the factory brand new, it only got worse from there, do yourself a favor and ditch it, premix from now on

Learn something new everyday. Can't tell how much time I've spent searching the web on how to decode omc welsh plugs. I've always heard it was a dealer lookup. Thanks!
