Kracker...any info on how well P22 does on a Roll & Tip job??...

The p22 is still the same type urethane enamel paint as a intelux brightside or petitt easy poxy so the same techniques and tipping solution should work fine I would think. I will call the rep tomorrow to find out.

Thanks for doin' that...I'll be interested in what they say...after posting the question, I looked closer on the site you left the link for...under tools, it shows bristle brush and roller, so I think he'll give it a thumbs up!...he may recommend thinning, etc too I would think...

Kracker:

To be honest, if your going to spend the money on a good paint spray it. It's that simple. If your going to rool and tip method try this. (Restrain your laughter until you reeasrch the web, but to be honest with a little more work it looks just as good as any other paint I've used to date.)

Look up Rusteolum Professional Enamel mixed with a enamel hardner they sell at Tractor supply. Lots of examples on the WEB. Roll it thin with a smooth foam roller and plan on light sanding of 320/400 grit in between coats. After three coats you won't be sorry. Takes it little bit longer due to the sanding in between coats but I have spent three times the overall cost per gallon on some other paints and wasn't any happer with the results I got using this method. Plus at 30.00 a gllon you can't beat the cost.

P.S. Mix a small can of the other colors avaialble to get the color you want. Experiment slowly adding the color to get the shade desired. And make sure you have enough to complete the job.

My boat is gonna be sprayed.

I've researched the rustoleum topside enamel witch actually is a "marine " paint. and Its super cheap at 13.00 dollars a quart. Its actually what I might paint my my outboard with.
