heres a 16 with a 90 on it up for sale http://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa...356&acctid=685

I said earlier I remembered those, but I was thinkin' about something else...I like that Bentz better than the typical FLATs boats you see so many of...looks like more versatility...and 90 hp on that 16' hull looks like some serious SKOOTER POOTIN' goin' on there...

stink, i thought you were going to have a pic of a Stauter

I agree, I had a stumpknocker for 5 years and caught many fish with it. I ran 30mph plus with a yamaha 25 on it. Ran in very skinny water.

Early Stumpknockers were flat bottom. They do make some with a little V that remind me of an Old Timer. Mom has the flatbottom 17' Stumpknocker that gets around nice with a 60 4-stroke. Fairly shallow runner but the NV goes places that mud motors and airboats need only apply. As evidenced by the lack of gelcoat on the bottom... Started out as a baby in the 12' SeaKing with 4.5 Merc. It wouldn't plane but the fish didn't care..

Phatty, Stauters are still built and plenty of them around. Ive got several friends that own them, Im just not a wood boat fan. My dad and I had a little 14 growing up for a very short period..great boats.

I couldnt type much as I started this thread on my phone in the woods. But what I wanted to say is these bring a premium here for sure..he could get 4500-5K all day long in this condition.

I actually found it in rough shape, a different buddy bought it, restore it and put this low hours 60 on it. Its rated for a 70 but runs nicely with the 60...bout 32-34mps gps loaded with 2 people. He sold it to this friend of mine thats like my brother a couple years back.

Now for the good part, he rarely uses it and has considered selling it but I THINK I have him talked out of it. He had to move it because him and his wife split and sold their house. I have a few things to do to my 18 and Im thinking about selling it this spring because I just dont use it that much and would use something this size ALOT, especially fishing after work by myself. Im hoping it stays around and I can work out a deal with him when I sell mine even if its joint ownership or something. She will then go under the shed my 18 is under. (Crossing fingers)
