So what you're saying is that we keep the present POS, knowing full well his horrible record so far? Why would you want to do that? The economy is a wreck, people are out of jobs, gas has doubled since he took office, an additional 10 MILLION people are on food stamps, median income for the average family is $4000 LESS than when he took office. Health insurance has increased over $2000 per person and in 2013 with Obamacare we're about to get hit with the single largest tax increase in history and you want to keep this piece of garbage?

Obama is a known quantity....we KNOW that he's been a terrible president (some would argue the worse in history). He IS a POS.

Romney is an unknown quantity....yes, he might wind up being a POS, but we don't know that yet. However, he also might wind up being the best president our Country has ever had. That's in the future and my crystal ball is broken. I can't see it yet.

Look, I don't know about anyone else, but I've never enjoyed self-inflicted pain. I know that if I vote for Obama I'll get 4 more years of pain. I'll get a horrible government, rising taxes and a move towards the failing European socialism model for our Country. If, however, I vote for Romney I know that he's a Capitalist and that he embraces the Capitalism model that our Country was founded on. The model that has made our Country great. I believe in American Exceptionalism. I believe that the reason our Country is so great is because we are a Capitalism driven society.

My vote is going to Romney.

And to get back on topic, try this on for a conspiracy theory. I think this whole thing was an elaborate plan. I think something shady was going on, (gun running for the "Arab Spring" rebels?) I think the Ambassidor was a part of it, and I think that he was set up to be executed to shut him up.

Think about it. When the attack began he was moved to a "safe" area of the embassy/compound. The terrorists knew exactly where he was, they brought RPG's to breach that area, and he was (by some accounts) the first one to die. Over 30 other people made it out safely.

And I think the POTUS either sanctioned it or directed it.

Yes in general much of what you say is true in your rant. Many things are highly exaggerated and are often the reasoning people use to not get involved or to not vote at all.
We are in danger as a nation, no reasonable man can step back, look at the "big picture" and determine that Obama represents anything close to what America is supposed to be. What are government under him has become is the exact opposite of what Free People deserve and our Constitution demands.
So this weekend my wife and I are going to be manning phone banks for Romney here in NJ. We have never done anything like that before. I have been an independent my whole life, I payed attention, I voted, but that was it.
When the democratic party turned socialist progressive they became an enemy of America in my opinion. And until GOOD democrats finally step up and reclaim their party from the so called Progressive's that the Clintons and Obama's and Reids and Pelosi's represent then they will continue to be an enemy of the People. They need to be defeated.
So you are right, politics is mostly based on money. Money and sex is what most of life is about across the board.
So here is the question then, unless you are going to lead a revolution in the next eleven days and seize the Capital I suggest you decide whether you want four more years of tyranny and statism from a known Statist or do you wish to leave those two beautiful daughters of yours a world where they have at least as much chance to be free and prosperous as your parents left it for you.
If you want the best for all of us, then your only alternative is to vote for Romney and say a prayer that he will turn our economy around, reduce the size of this federal Orwellian government and bring some spending sanity back to Washington.

Reelapeelin's got it right-they all work for the same goups-big oil, wall street etc and not for us. Vote for who you want but at the end of the day don't expect anything to change. The only way is to purge every last one of them from the oval office and congress and start fresh. Elephants and Asses screwing the masses! In other news my boat is happily sitting on land hoping the flood waters don't rise and float it off its blocks. Stay safe folks!

You know, I don't see anyone offering any solution to the problem. Don't misunderstand me, I totally agree with the premise that our Government is being bought. I've agreed with that many times, in many posts, in many threads. But one person, or even one hundred persons standing up and shouting at the top of their lungs won't do anything except give one hundred people horse throats. It's easy to rant and rave and say our government is corrupt, point fingers and yell. Don't do that, because it will just roll off my back like a ducks back sheds water. You want my agreement, you want my involvement? Give me a plan. Tell me how we remove the cancer that has infected our government.

See, the problem is that the people that make the rules are in control, and they don't want to release ontrol. They are going to lie and tell you anything they think you want to hear in order to get elected, and then they will do whatever they damn well want to, most of it in secret, and they could care less what you think. They pay you lip service only when they think it's to their benefit.

So here's a suggestion. Before you trust anyone, look at what a person has done most of their life. How have they conducted themselves? Admittedly, there is not guarentee that what they say is what they will do, but it's an indication of the type of person you're giving your vote to. Ask them how they stand on term limits. See, the problem is that once they are in power it's almost impossible to remove them from power until after their term is up. Find out if they will work towards making it easier to recall a sitting Congressman or Senator or President. From where I sit, that's about all you can do. Does anyone else have any better suggestions? Hell, I'll listen to them all, and if they are good and legal I'll even work towards implementing them... but until then don't just yell and tell me the sky is falling... I already know it's falling. I just don't know how to stop it.
