Yeah, I'm sure it is A LOT different than holding your breath lounging in the pool. What is the max depth you guys dive down to?

Still workin on that but it gets better/deeper every year thank god. I max out at about 25' right now which isnt that great. My short term goal is to get to 45' and my long term is 75'.

Most of the fish in that video were shot in less than 20' and my Black came from 25'. You can do a lot of hunting down there in 10-15' though.

If you ever want to get into it lemme know and I'll help you get setup. Thats the nice thing about freediving.....its much cheaper and easier to do than SCUBA

Awesome vid Henry... been meaning to get around to watching, but I can't watch most vids on my phone. Just sat down and took it in and that was great! Awesome trip and footage. I love the camera on the t-top while trailering.

What software do you edit with? I use Windows MovieMaker (free) and it sucks compared to what you're able to put together.

great video, can't believe i just now saw it. it's been about 4 or 5 years since we 've beentothe keys, you got me thinkin it's time again. we used to go and spend a week every year, but the problem with that is you only have about 5 full days, so we started going for 2 weeks every 2 years. that way you have 12 days and weather is not as big a factor. my wife works for the school system and i am self employed, so vacation time was not an issue. do you guys get a house or stay in a condo/resort?

Thanks Aaron, Ive been "eyeing" that shot 3months before we left.....

I did all the editing on Adobe Premiere Elements 10. Took me a sec to get familiar with it but its a pretty straight forward program and I think I got it off Newegg for like $60.......

Yea its always a gamble to go in Sept but hey the rates are waaaay cheaper and we have usually got great weather in the past years. Personally I am ready for the two weeks every year trip myself. Problem is I dont ever wanna leave!!!! When I do I have the same feelin I did as a kid when I knew I was gonna be in trouble when I got home.....

We stay at Conch Key Villas on Conch Key(west side of the Long Key Bridge). Pretty sweet deal, it is definitely not high-society but its nice enough to be comfortable and at $350/person for the week, the price is right.

$720 each including gas, bait, travel, lodging, food, etc, is what it cost us each to do this trip!!!!!!

sounds like a great deal. we used to rent those duplexes in key colony (marathon) that were on the water, but the best deals we found were houses on big pine out toward no name key. i had the "don't wanna leave" until i stayed for the two weeks, after 10 or 11 days, in the words of robert earl keene "There's nothin better that your own backyard."

Well hopefully my stay will gain length as the years progress......
