Yesterday I had to enlist my brother in law to help me remove the fill hose from the tank in order to get a siphon in there. Boy that thing must've been there since day one. It was practically glued on! Lots of grabbing, twisting with pliers, prying with big screw drivers, spraying lube....finally she started to move and we got it off. I lengthened a fuel hose with a primer ball, weighted the end and dropped it into the back corner of the tank. Siphoned out approx. 12 gallons. I could not see any debris? Ended up dumping it all in my truck....at which point I notice trash in the bottom 12 ounces left in the tank(s). So that tells me the issue IS trash in the tank. Now, fingers crossed that my truck fuel system does not suffer from this! :zip:

I'm thinking about repositioning the boat and trying to siphon from the front corner.....I'm sure there's more trash in there.......

Anybody ever have to have a tank pumped out?

That is what I was thinking. I just don't want to F up the tank, ya know? Also I do not want to have to pop the tank hatch. The hatch appears to be glassed in place from the factory and since it isn't soft or anything I don't want to disturb it if I can help it. I thought it was just bedded in place but I put my hand thru the round inspection hole and felt under there and there is no seam on the underside?

As discussed on the other thread, that floor is solid..no seams. They just glued the wood to the underside of the deck. No sealant, nothing. I guess they figured that if you were going to cut the floor to reach the tank then you could just cut the wood at the same time. :head:

I did some more pumping, found just a little more debris in the tank after pouring in another 1/2 gallon, positioning the boat and pumping it out. I got everything put back together, put in 10 gallons, stabil and a can of seafoam for a lake test. I ran around at for a while at various RPM including WOT for a minute or so. All systems GO! So, I headed to Murrells Inlet SC for the weekend with the family for Father's day. Took the wife and kids fishing and island hopping and spent time with my parents. ALL GOOD!
