A sheet of 3/4" Starboard will fix most of what you want.
The hatch is a prize to find though.
If you ain't already seen it, look through this thread. Might give you some ideas.

thanks man. the links you posted are extremely helpful. It gives me a lot of ideas on my boat. Starboard and I are going to be best friends :love:
where can you pick up starboard? prob West Marine....

And the Idea of moving the vent hole(gas) up higher is a damn good idea!!!!!



On my transom one side is lower than the other??? is yours like that or has someone tampered with my boat (previous owner) i took off the brackets and it doesn't look cut,, but ya never know

The Starboard is available at River Services in Thunderbolt, probably a few other places too.
I would bet the transom was done for whatever reason for the steering cables sake. Mine was even on both sides, later we changed it to a 25" transom.
Few other threads to look at, maybe get some more ideas.
