RW..from right about where you were when you took the pics... head out from shore.. I keep the lighthouse on my left side looking straight at the shoreline. The water should be about 10 feet in that area...then you'll go over a channel of some kind and the water drops to 20' for about 50 feet, then goes back to 10 feet again until you get out into the bay.. That channel is where you'll kill the fluke... they lie on the sides of it and wait for the tides to bring them food.. if you can hold it using your FF it's a great place to troll for fluke, cause with trolling you can steer and it keeps you over the channel..

Well I definitely would never spot you looking for a blue hull....not sure why I thought it was blue? I remember it now from when you first posted it . You'll be easy to spot now with the "Fishbones" on the side. Are both those kids yours? Looks like yours and your wifes DNA fought it out and you each got one! And those buildings were definitely originally part of the Fort Hancock installation. Last time I drove around in there there were 2 or 3 of them that looked like somebody was staying in them. Very likely the coast guard guys from the station now but the rest of them are all empty. |

That is why there are fish traps in that area to due to the underwater channels that funnel bait fish around.
I fish in there too, been mostly shorts the past few weeks, though you will get hit every time you drop, especially if you are using a 4" Chartruese Gulp Mullet. Rw they all have combinations of both of us, blue eyes and blond hair, brunette with gorgeous blue eyes, brown eyes and blonde hair, we were very diplomatic, two boys and two girls and one of each sex has combos of mostly the CEO or me. And about the Fort you are correct about the original inhabitants but it has been the Coast Guard Station and their Quarters for many decades now. Not a bad view for your duty station huh? |
