Hey Paul, glad to see you signed up....let us know how that bow rail works out. You're not too far from me being in Wayne....do you keep your boat in the water or out of the driveway? There's a fair amount of members that go out of Highlands/Raritan bay area.

Hi Rob

The guy called me back and we made a deal, so I'll be picking up the rail next weekend. (He's out of town this weekend). MANY, MANY thanks for the help from you in finding that rail. I was really afraid I'd have to go thru a dealer or marina and pay their prices.

I keep my boat on a trailer, mostly because of the prices of a slip around here. I used to keep it in a slip at Leonardo State Marina near Sandy Hook, but when I first joined, the price was $400 for a season, and by the time I left 5 years later the price was nearing $1700 for the same slip....so it was time to start trailering. I can use all that money for me for gas on the water rather than donating it to the State. I'll pretty much trailer it anywhere for a day of fishing, so you can figure me for Cape Cod to Cape May...but 90% of the time I'll be around the Sandy Hook/Staten Island area.

Here's a pic of his railing.....its the same as mine with all welded connections instead of fittings. Never could figure out why some years before and after 86 they used fittings for all the connections....Wellcraft probably ran out of fittings one day and had to weld them up?

Dang.. He never said it was welded.. just that it was SS. I'm feeling like I stole it. Tks' for the pic Rob!!!
No idea why WC would weld and then not weld... possibly it was an economy thing to save the cost of the fittings? In all cases it's beautiful.
