Nice job Kev, I can see Old School went to the right home. Makes me feel good, especially that pic of your daughter on the hatch ;)
Hope you got that spare prop I sent ya and a wrench and spare pin and nut stored below, we know how you like to find the shoals ;D

AWESOME REPORT! ;) That's a good lookin family you got there! Way to go on including everyone in the fishing fun. I can't imagine pulling up a doormat from 40 or 50 feet! They pull hard enough from 10 ft down.

Way to go!

Hey Willy......don't get me started on his hair. *My wife won't let me cut it!

I do have the prop, a wrench and pin but no nut. Do I need to go to a Johnson dealer for the nut? Is it something special?

I would have the spare nut too. Not because it is likely to get damaged but because when you are doing the bob and weave trying to change it on the water things have a tendency to become buried treasure. Ask me how I know ;D
You can pick them up at most marine supply houses and definetly at a Evinrude Johnson dealer which is where I would stop. Just need your year and model.
Or you can do what I do for my motors, I right down the info plus a VIN number for it on a piece of paper and keep it in my wallet all the time. Also keep a short piece of 2x4 and a pair of needle nose pliers with the kit.

...and even after you buy the "right" nut according to the salesman and all the right part numbers, etc...TRY IT on the shaft ... you won't KNOW till you do ;) ...
