all the mercury two stroke V6 motors are pure junk, if you have one on you're boat, take it off, spend a whole lot of money on a new foreign made motor, call me and I'll be glad to haul the old junk motor off to get it out of your way, and I won't even charge your for doing so.

Decisions, decisions! Another motor popped up. It is a 1999 Johnson 150 for $1000 less than the 2005Merc. What will have to happen to make it work on my boat? Would it be better than a Merc?

Says it's an OceanPro 150HP M# J150PXEES Don't see FICHT anywhere. It is grey in color with a horse emblem on it.

That should be one of the best engines that OMC ever made then. They aren't the best on fuel, but make up for it in longevity.
