Must have made it easier for your dad to go on, knowing you would look after his beloved friend...and now he and your dad are back together whoopin' it up!!...you done a good thing, Ferm...it's hard to lose 'em...

Your Dad and his dog both appreciate your being there Ferm. Both will be there to help you across when the time comes.
Hang in there bro! |
Sorry for your loss Ferm.

Thank you all for the kind words. It was one of those deals where I knew it was gonna happen anytime now, but it still doesn't make it any easier. this dog had been through hell in the past as a hogdog, and had been cut open too many times to count because of it. But you couldn't have stopped him even if you had tried as he loved to hunt. It just made no sense that he never showed any signs and then 24 hours later he was gone. He lived a hard life, but I did my best to give him a good relaxing retirement. I guess my dad decided he was ready for his buddy to come stay with him.

That is the explanation no doubt

Wow Ferm terrible. Gourgeous dog. That wrinkled forehead just screams love. My condolences go out to you.

Thinking of you, Ferm. You did right by both your Dad and his dog. That's the stuff that counts. Take comfort in it.

'Love dogs, hate it that they don't live that long. It's always tough to tell the vet to put a dog to sleep, I had to do it just few years back.
