Hey Garage, just found this post from Willy on thread called "boat drinks." Maybe he would like one after the long drive:

summer time drink of choice (after boating) is the classic Sundowner.
Made with either old original gin Plymouth, which is still made in the same wooden vats used for hundreds of years in the same town and same family.
A close second and almost indistinguishable is the original Bombay Gin.
The classic sundowner is made with a couple of rocks and a squezze of lime and either of the above. The classic drink made on safari in africa to this day.
I being a little more civilized prefer a splash of tonic.
If I am somewhere where it available a good mojito will always be my first choice.

Here's another post from Willy in a thread called "grits" strangely enough. Heck, apparently Willy likes anything!! Hope you guys have fun.

Ah Ezra, I know yee well !!

Ezra is good, strong stuff. It is the same stuff as Heaven Hill you know, kept a little stronger and aged longer. I like it.

But usually I drink my bourbon straight up or probably 50% of time on the rocks so I tend to go for the ones with strong bourbon smoothness and not so much bite.
I found that Evan gives you a good sipping whiskey at a very reasonable price with those attributes. If I am in a cigar mode or having it with friends who will drink it the same way and appreciate it I brake out the Makers Mark, there are a couple of others I like to but for bourbons thats how I roll.

Now any discussion on Scotch!!

Yes, Mojito! Love 'em. Best recipe I've found is on the Bacardi web site. Have some mint (or as we call it the "Mojito tree") growing in a pot in the backyard. Always ready!

if he's thinking about moving down South, then he needs to get used to the weather

garagenc 07-30-2009 02:11 PM

He shor does Spare

He's on the minnesott ferry coming that way, he said he talked to Todd and suggested that way.

Either way I went and got some Captn Morgan Rum to make majjito's, He'll have a selection to pick from, and if he doesn't like anything I got then we'll give him some southern advice!!

Just remind him how nice it is during the winter and I'm sure he'll get used to the summertime humidity FAST.
