I mean no offense to you Nipper, but I've grown a bit tired of the Harvard/Yale/insert your favorite ivy league school here crowd. I think it's time for someone from the School of Hard Knocks to give it a try. If not maybe at least someone with a grasp on reality. It's hard to believe someone knows what Americans are thinking when they've never even cut their own grass.

Wow, by far the most interesting thread since November.

I say we all get in our boats and find a secluded, uninhabited island. Reel, Willy and Franco will be in charge of picking the island and get to write the constitution and set up the government.

I just want to throw in some clauses for the rights to citizenship:

1) You must show up at the island with on a V20 with no other males aboard.
2) You must have at least 2 females accompanying you onboard.
3) No birth certificate required, but must be able to show proof of gendership of your shipmates.
4) the V must be packed with crucial supplies - aka birth control, firearms & ammo, rod/reels/tackle/bait, alcohol, charcoal, digital cams & laptops, tiolet paper, fuel cells, kayaks etc.

Ok, forget the birth control. Instead, lets reproduce as much as possible and put the younguns to work. :sly:

Who's in?

He is not only a liar by accident but by specific design and he is dangerous because so many are wooed by his so called eloquence.
When you want to change my nation from the greatness it is to something resembling failed socialist regimes around the world, and that is exactly what he wants to do, and is succeeding at, at an alarming rate then I have no modicum of respect for him at all. I consider him a extreme danger to the health and well being of our nation. even several good friends of mine here who voted for him and are life long democrats have said to me point blank he has lied to them and he certainly is not doing what they thought he would do. One of them my sister said to me that she is very afraid of what is happening now with him and she was terribly embarrased by his codling of third world dictators and his apoligizing for America on the world stage numerous times now.
No my friend I have no respect for him at all, respect is something earned and you do not earn it by lying to me and the world repeatedly to push an agenda as foreign to America as his.
Also you do not earn respect by spending over 9 million dollars of your campaign money in legal fees in attempts to thwart numerous citizen group law suits and tie them up in court that are simply asking him for one thing
A copy of his birth cerificate.
Can you imagine that, 9 million dollars in legal fees to prevent anyone from seeing your birth cerificate.
Make a friggin copy and post it.
See he won't because there is a very good chance he has lied to the Citizens and is holding an office he is not even eligible to be in.
Thats why, thats why I call him a liar, thats why I call him a two legger and that along with dozens of other things he is doing is why he is a piece of crap.

Not to mention he's black and a democrat...

Anybody who knows anything about me and my life would know how wrong that statement about someones skin color is. Somebody who has told the people one thing while being supported by many in the press and never questioned about his actions, meanwhile holding meetings to figure out what has to be said to fool the public. Someone who meets with one group and refers to people during the campaign and tells his workers what needs to be said to THESE TYPES OF PEOPLE who cling to their religion, their guns and conspires to trick the American people into something they would never vote for is a liar, a charlatan, and a dangerous man, aka a two legger. The kind of people who were they not in government would be pursued by the law for one reason or another. Someone who tells the people that they will have a choice in the new Obamination health care to stay with their private insurance meanwhile his cabinet holds meetings with the team putting it together and they are caught on film doing a sly sly wink and nod with a little laugh thrown in becuase one of them asked what will happen to the private carriers and she was told they would be out of buisness within a year.
Contrary to the liberal left wing types, it is not a judgement on someones skin color that makes me have a great disdain for people like that, it is because they have no honor, no honesty, no morals. And they could be black or white, asian or european and I would still call them what they are, a liar.

I have got to chime in, maybe this has nothing to do with the discussion,
but last evening I came home from work and my wife had teh Sundance channel on.
They have a habit of playing controvertial docmentaries.
Last eveningthey played the one "No End in Sight" about the Iraq war and all the lies that were told to get teh U.S. into this thing.
They also went into all the greed corruption and how much money was actually wasted.
I highly recomend you watch it, Dem, Rep, Green, No party, your blood will boil.
My son told me about it and I thought oh well another propoganda film,
no way, they use facts, eye witness', Iraqi interviews and news stories that never made it to the U.S. mainstream media.

Again if you can catch it on TV or I know you can get it through Netflix, but I don't know if the local video stores will have it - YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS.

Alright, alright...I'll withdraw the black comment...so now you've single handedly uncovered a politician who deceives the public w/ lies...stop the presses...twitter the media!!...a lying politician who says one thing while doing another...there's some real news :pic:..and the line about tricking the American public into something they'd never vote for :you:...now THERE'S a new one....

Ok, so I suppose with that being said, let's bring out how Woodrow Wilson secretly had our U-boat fleet off our east coast, claimed they were German and sunk the Lusitania saying the Germans did it just so we could get involved in WWI. Oh, and the fact that we only protected those countries that owed us a huge financial debt at the time(i.e. France & Britain). As for WWII, though it was seen as a "European conflict", remember that FDR was blood thirsty and actually taunted the Japanese into bombing Pearl Harbor. Actually, it was the secret bombings/murders by the US against Japan ordered by FDR that taunted them. All in all, we're just big bullies, huh? Yeah. If you search enough you will find even more further-fetched conspiracy theories about all wars and all politicians.

I try to not mix boats and poly-tics. But I do have a Senator Franken prediction:

One term.

Now go on y'all and get back to talking about V-20s, feeeshin, and pretty girls!

EDIT:
So I go to cnn.com and this is what I see about Franken:

FRANKEN'S FIRST GOAL: DOGS FOR VETS
Newly-minted Sen. Al Franken, D-Minnesota, unveiled his first legislative goal Monday ***8212; providing funding to train dogs to work with wounded veterans.
"Service dogs ***8230; can be of immense benefit to vets suffering from physical and emotional wounds," Franken wrote in a column. "Yes, they provide companionship. But they can also detect changes in a person's breathing, perspiration or scent to anticipate and ward off an impending panic attack with some well-timed nuzzling. They are trained to let their masters know when it's time to take their medication and to wake them from terrifying nightmares."
The Minnesota Democrat also said there is evidence to show that this kind of program could help reduce the suicide rate among veterans.
"Frankly, I believe it is enough simply to improve the lives of those of whom we asked so much," Franken wrote.
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...dogs-for-vets/

Now, I'm not a fan of Franken's politics. But hey, you can't deny that this is a positive beginning. But I do believe that $25,000 per dog figure is a stretch. I know folks who train service dogs for the blind, so I'll ask them and see if that's a reasonable figure, or if that's the $600 hammer kind of price.
