I like that Dusky Ferm. Did you pull the trigger on her yet? Is there a small cuddy in the bow beneath the casting deck?

fast track trim should be two pins and out she goes. you need to get the engine all the way up on its highest suppet arm/bracket before removal. since trim motor is out use the manual release valve.

Yep, you pretty well have to remove the trim assembly to replace it. You can do three of the bolts with it on the boat, but the last one is buried. Or you can remove the engine from the boat if your trim pins are frozen in place and do it that way. If you have the older style they require 6 bolts and a pin to get out, plus you have to remove 2 of the engine mounting bolts and remove one of the transom plates in most cases to get it out. Although if the bolts aren't rusted out completely you can normally snake your way into to remove the trim pump bolts.

Well my dad decided not to buy the V so I guess I'm going to buy the cheap one unless THEFERMANATOR wants to make me a better deal on the one he has. On mine all I had to do was to raise the motor to it highest position (then you need to support it with something that won't allow it to fall) then remover the pin holding on the main lift cyl. then I lowered that cyl. down to give me some room. That allowed me enough room to swing out the top of the whole assembly enough to get to the back left bolt. I'll install the new motor raise it back up and popped the pin back in. I guess if the pump does not work at all then its a little harder.

I can't see selling it for less when I paid $200 for it. I understand trying to get it done on the cheap so you can sell it.

I was thinking about starting an 80's rock band and those wigs would be perfect for that 80's rock look. If you could hook us up with five wigs we would promote your site and maybe name the band after one of your wigs. Maybe Wigged Out.
