the weep hols is down low on the front of the engine, if it is open, then any coolant that leaks past the first seal will go out the weep hole and alert you that it is leaking before it gets past the second seal, some times the weep hole will get clogged adn you won't know you have a problem till you notice you have water(coolant) in your oil. Its not that big of a problem to fix if it is bad( its not that easy either).

I'm aware of the possible leak from the water pump pressure testing the cooling system indicated a major leak because the system held no pressure at all and there was no sign of any external leak anywhere. I hope that the waterpump does not turn out to be the new weak link now that the manifold is fixed.

coolant leak

Keep a close eye on your oil for water... If the weep hole is blocked and the seals are bad theres only one place for the coolant to go ,,,,in the oil if its cought intime the repair is not to bad ...LETS us know what you find,,,....

Also i would think a nother way to check the seals is to pull the dip stick put your thumb tightly over the fill tube then pump up the system if you can feel prusser building at your thumb its your seals...I am not sure his wil work but i ould give it a try....also the weep hole is a tough nut to find if your cooland is drained down yu may not see any think leaking
