Might be able to cut his price even more and then spend some cash on a good used OB. Just a thought.

Thanks I missed that one I'm going to give him a call. Thats more of what I'm looking for and if I can find a great deal I'm going to repower with a new motor. The thing about an inboard is I have a customer who can get me a great deal on a brand new motor

When looking for a replacement for my Johnson I found a ton of good deals on lightly used outboards. If you are patient you can find a great motor with a warranty for a lot less than something brand new. Keep your eyes peeled. Also, if you pick that up and need to sell the blown motor, let me know. I will give you the number of the guys who took mine. Gave me a decent amount of cash and pulled the thing right off the back of the boat, no work for me.

Check the transom on that GRADY close. It was during the mid eighties when they started using foam cores instead of wood and they had't quite got the construction process down. If you do a search on the THT you'll find plenty of GRADY's with a transom that fell off and let the engines go to the bottom from the eighties. Not all were affected, but some had issues. I believe this is the reason that the GRADY-WHITES have come down in price so much in the last few years.
