So you get to work on your boat when your at school. We didn't have that program when I went to school.

The Tec School here has a Marine Department, they use to fix what ever they could find, Lawn mowers, old crap people donate.
Then Mercury needed a place to teach the Macanhic's all the new stuff & to keep them up o date with new motors,and they needed to do at night.
So they made a deal with the tec school. Thery will supply Brand New up to date motors every year, All the tools to repair and maintain same, I/O and Outboard's and even a Tec person to help with teaching, if the school let them in to use the place!

Need less to say they have been a perfect match!! The kids learn and build new Merc all day all year and the leave with a certicate.

Never had that in school for me either!

Band-saw in wood-shop was cuttin' edge when I was in 7th grade ::) ...



Kevin...have you looked thru this section prior to posting?? there have been SEVERAL center-consoles in all shapes thru here lately... ;) ... when the project starts, can you document in pix here as it moves along??...
