Pics
Here are some pics, I must have been too busy working to take pics of the work.
Ready to go. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0515.jpg At Folly Beach. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0524.jpg On the boat to Fort Sumter, the USS Yorktown behind Joey, my boy. Note the paint in his hair, the kids got a lot of paint on themselves during the week but managed to keep most of it on the parts of the house that it was supposed to be on. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0527.jpg The flag at Fort Sumter was flying at half mast for two National Park Firefighters who were killed a few days before out west. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0538.jpg Lowering the flag, thats me in the camo shorts. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0547.jpg The new Cooper River Bridge. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0586.jpg Joey and his new friend at the aquarium. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0588.jpg The Angel Tree, named for the family who used to own the land it is on, the Angels. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0573.jpg |
glad you had a good time down here, you could spend a month just seeing the sights and still not see them all. You get a little spoiled having it in your back yard, you tend to take it for granted. Ya'll come on back when you get a chance.

Man that tree is awesome! |
randleman, next time you come down here with the history buffs. take them to Fort Multrie on Sulivans Island, the park service has done a great job with it and no one knows about it. Its also the cheapest admission around here. You can see Fort Sumter from the walls.
