Re: Specs

At some point I have to just cut it off and put it in the water.
I can't help myself, I keep changing and replacing stuff but I've almost run out of things to do.
When I throw the motor on (soon) that probably will the deciding factor.
HOWS THAT FOR A NON ANSWER. Ought to run for governer ;D ;D

Re: Specs

Seems now I’m running around indiscriminate replacing and fixing things with no rhyme or reason. At least it’s progress, however to the casual observer (my wife, cousin, neighbor, etc) it looks like only beer drinking has been going on.
Here’s some more crap done:

Removed the seats and gotta decide what to put back.
The floor at the forward port seat location is soft, didn’t notice thru the whole project.
I’m not about to get into replacing the floor this year, so some “southern repairs” will go on at this time, don’t know what yet. Probably a sheet of ¼ inch aluminum over the floor and bolt the seats to it for now. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...Picture165.jpg

Mounted the water separator and battery switch to the stern lift eyes bolts beneath the rod holders. But got concerned about water dripping on them so I attached a sleeve of discharge hose to the rod holder to make the water go past them

Re: Specs

Keep in mind there were two other boat projects going on at the same time, an Ashcraft ripoff (complete) and a Hydra Sport bass boat that now needs a new steering cable. This boat was bought with the intent for the 150hp motor only and to junk it afterwards, however Daddy decided to use it as a bream boat and stuck a 75hp on it. The booger runs 46mph as is, God only knows how fast it ran with the 150hp on it!!

The Water Bug was gutted rear of the seats of compartments and made into a more useable boat. It’s kept in the water, now ready to go!

All I’m going to do is cut it off, shorten it a little and weld it back together. Fricken termites >:(
