Re: 1988 V20 with 225 Honda
Hi Guys,
I'm back. Have been enjoying my rig! Need some help with something: I'm smelling some gas fumes in my boat. Looked at the top of the gas tank (where the fuel gauge sensor goes into it) - nothing leaking there. Peeked around other places, but could not pinpoint anything. Any ideas? thanks |
Re: 1988 V20 with 225 Honda
Is the smell constant or do you just smell it after the tank is full?
|
Re: 1988 V20 with 225 Honda
I just replaced the gas fill hose on mine, it got rid of the gas smell. If you have original hoses, thats probably it.
I just hope it aint the tank leaking. |
Re: 1988 V20 with 225 Honda
I get heavy gas fumes for the first hour after filling tank , the vent is in arms reach of helm the dually dosent have that side windshield to block the wind while moving
