NOT FUNNY!

The part that is getting me is my 2nd trip for the rash is going to end up costing me almost $650. $650 for what the surgeons assistant said was unnecesary. I should have been sent home, told to take benadryl, and a shower(her words exactly). Yet the hospital kept me overnight and pumped me full of crap so they could run up a bill. That's the part that is pissing me off. I haven't worked in months now, money is tight, and now I have to shell out an extra $650 for something I shouldn't have even been admitted for.

No problem, I knew what you meant by it. I was just pointing out the liar in chief's statement AINT FUNNY! one bit about how we could keep our plans. If we still had the plan from 3 years ago like my wife had this would have been a $500 copay, and if we had the plan from 08(bo-AKA before obama), it would have been $250 and we would be paying 1/3rd every month for insurance as we are now. This whole situation just sucks, thanks commander and thief for the UNaffordable care act.

Ferm, you "might" want to talk to the hospital, and hint that a lawsuit for a misdiagnosis might be in the offing unless they drop that bill for the $650. When my mom was in the hospital, and died as a result of their misdiagnosis, we got a bill for over $240,000 from them. Insurance paid most of it, but there were still several thousands of dollars that we (her family) were supposed to pay. I spoke to their billing dept, explained the situation and let drop the fact that we were thinking of instituting a lawsuit. Suddenly they got real co-operative, told us to not worry about the money and they hoped that we were happy with the care my mom received.

My point is that they just might back off if you let it be known how truly f**ked up their "care" was, and how pissed off you are about it. Hey, you never know...

Hard to put a price tag on feling good.

It is crazy how you can get buried in the numbers, Fa$T
Bright side is you don't have to pay for 100% of all the cost or the screwups for that matter, just a portion. The fact is, BO or After, The average surgical procedure with a hospital stay will fully test the finances of the average family. That part hasn't changed, if anything it may be worse AO depending on how you got shuffled..Because Nothing was done to control the costs.. The only thing that really changed is who pays what share.. I could go on forever..

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
As others have pointed out.. With any luck you will get to feeling better whereas before you couldn't do much for the pain.

I'm definately calling the hospital tommorrow because I was admitted on a wound re eval, but that isn't how they billed it. I'm probably going to call the attorney that handled my lawsuit from the wreck that caused all of this and see if maybe he could make a phone call for me and take care of this. He helped me out like this on another matter before, so maybe he will do it again. It's hard to find GOOD attorneys who actually help you out, and he went above and beyond as well as waved alot of fees from my case before.

I wonder what it would take to actually organize a class action suit against Obastard
