How about a couple of good pieces to start with. http://spacecoast.craigslist.org/boa/591725711.html Or one closer to home that needs a little work but if the price is right he's giving it away. http://baltimore.craigslist.org/boa/591103271.html Kamikaze |
Wow! there's gotta be something really wrong with that Dusky. The tri-axle trailer alone is worth the $3k he's asking. Nice boat, but too much boat for me. As Kamikaze said, if things did check out, this guy is giving this boat away.
As for the other boat, I like it, but I'm still hesitant to run down to FL to pick up a boat. I did it once and it was no fun... That said, what do you guys know about the Logic boats? |
tuperware boats, made out of ropalene plastic. everyone I've seen that had a small one liked it, I haven't met anyone with a big one that was too happy

The DUSKY appears to have potential, but it isn't a center console. The other one is a definate no in my book, look at the plate on the transom.

Hey boys,
I just thought I'd let you know that I'm on hold for a short while in shopping for the next boat. We decided to add on to our house, so I have to wait for all my loan stuff to be settled before I'll have access to cash for the next boat. Anyway, thank you all for the help you have given. I'll let you all know once I'm able to start shopping again. Cheers! |
Okay, I'm back in the market... Going to look at a 91 20' Hydrasport tomorrow or Wednesday. The tilt/trim is going bad on it, so it would mean some work for me. I'd likely try to fix/replace tilt/trim then swap motors with the V20. Motor is a 91 Evinrude 225.
Saw this one yesterday. Given the market, I hit for the wall and offered him $5500 seeing as I'd have to spend $1k to $1.5k for a trailer... He said no and that he was going to stick with his price... Motor is only 3 years old, probably less than 10 hours on it, he said. Boat looks nice, he sent pics... http://cnj.craigslist.org/boa/628987471.html |

Your worse than my wife! your in-your out. I can't keep it straight anymore. :bat: Kamikaze |
I know Kamikaze, I know... Sorry buddy. But this time for real--the wife is on board. I just transferred some funds to the checking account. Should have cash in hand in the next couple of days or so...
Hey, do you guys know anything good or bad about the Sunbird/OMC Neptune boats? I came across one that looks nice, but I have never heard of them before. Some say they're made by the same guy who designed Sea Hunt. Some say Hydrasport used the same hull for their seahorse... Anyway, what do you know? Here's the boat in question: http://www.ncwaterman.com/forum/foru....asp?TID=45986 Also, what about Cobia? Just need a trailer for this one: http://cnj.craigslist.org/boa/622173522.html |
SUNBIRD/NEPTUNE is a HYDRA-SPORT entry level boat. The hulls were designed by HYDRA-SPORTS, but sold under another name after OMC lost HYDRA-SPORTS in the 90's. They are just a basic entry level hull, nothin fancy.
