Re: Pulpit question
hammer, if you gonna be divin, i think you'll feel better with a shackle & a thimble. probaly overkill, but its a bummer to come back to the anchor and find a wad of chain.

Re: Pulpit question
Hammer what you call that post cleat you have?? have been looking for one buit find nothing?
am thinking I need the real name? |
Re: Pulpit question
Thats right Phats, gonna go with a thimble and shackle along with plenty of chain to tie off to on the wrecks.
MJ...post cleat ??? where's it at on my boaty. ??? |
Re: Pulpit question
MJ's thinking of a Sampson post, also know as a Bollard cleat. Hammer had posted a picture of one a while back.

Re: Pulpit question
Pipe...I'm just now catchin' up w/this thread again...re your idea for "anchor retrieval system" ... while yours is DEFINATELY the nicest one I've seen to date and could be used for SO many other purposes (the VERSATILITY is staggering!! :o ) ... my fear is the overall concept would be considered as "public knowledge" by the Patent Office ...but I'll forward your idea to my Patent Atty and get a professional opinion 8) ...

Re: Pulpit question
