I am miserable. I haven't been out on my V yet this season. My 2 boys and 1 daughter have been playing baseball and softball tournaments every weekend, usually in different towns. So, wife goes one place, I go another, and sometimes we have to recruit another parent to take one of the kids if all 3 have tournaments in different places. Last tournament is this weekend. Hallelujah! Anyone else have their V sitting high and dry all season like mine?

Fortunately, mine is ready to go (I hope!). It's all cleaned up, waxed, battery charged up, ran the motor on the muffs, oil and gear lube is fresh, etc. I'll probably take it out and have something go bad.

Nipper don't say that!! Everything will go fine!

I've had mine out plenty on the lake but only a couple times in the salt. I was planning for more salt time this year but it is not working out that way. For example my next salt trip I had planned for 7/24 - 7/27 but my wife's family is doing their annual lake Wylie vacation trip that weekend so I'm hosed. Yes, I will still be in the water but not the salty kind like I want to be in!

Its frustrating but at least I'm on the water.

It must be something about this year. I didnt get the V in the water till 4th of July. I did however get out everyday of the 3 day weekend and 1 time last weekend, so thats a total of 4 trips so far. This time last year I probably had 15.

I've been out a total of six times, 2x on the v, 4x on the tin boat. Nipper, I share your frustration....baseball, communions, graduations, and this weekend we've got a baby christening. Our social calender is easing up so I'll need to make up for lost time. In my forner life I would have been out 30x by now......ugh.

Just twice for me too. Gas is just too expensive when you're trying to fix up a house in preperation for the baby coming. It's getting tight these days.

I share your pain!!!

Been to the coast twice this year, wind blew so much the first time I never put the boat in, the second time the wind was blowing too, but we did do some ICW cruising.

Yeah, it's hard to get out when you got kids. I've been out fishing with friends 3-4 times but not near as much as I would want to. I have been taking my oldest girl (just turned three) out 1 or 2 times a week for an hour or two just to get her use to boatin' and fishin'. She's lovin' it!
Signed her up for soccer this fall, know that will take boating time away.
Glad I waited 'til 38 years old to get married, got a good share of fishin' and boatin'........................ in. Although you can't help but miss freedom, my kids are definitely worth it. I'm lovin' every minute with them.
Now if I could just talk my wife into living on a 46' Bertram MY an sell the house, I could have the best of both worlds.

Don't have a boat anymore had to sell it for this reason (lack of time). Been helping my Dad work on his Grady and that has yet to see a fishing trip.

Just got my V in may, went out 3-4 times a week up and down the ICWWfor a month fishing swimming and just enjoying the heck out of that boat. Then the motor developed a "tick", so it sat in the driveway until last weekend. Sunday evening, I pulled it to the shop to put it into medium term storage.:bat:

Not sure when its goin to get fixed. :cen::head::cen:

Hope you others really, REALLY, enjoy yours. I'm sure you will-more power to you.
