I just got my bimini supports to hold the top up when I'm not using it. To install it i will need to remove the old hardware from the poles to slide the new plastic support in place. My question is are the plastic parts on the poles pop riveted in place? It looks like it but I'm not positive. The new plastic piece has a set screw which will be easy. I'm just wondering if anyone else has the same configuration with their hardware.

There are (were) manufacturers that had a 2 piece clamp that does the same thing without having to disassemble the hardware if it's corroded.
Sounds like a normal bimini assembly that you got to me.

So to remove it I will have to drill it out and then use a pop rivit to reassemble? Or maybe just tap it and use my own set screw?

Yep, pop rivets, bolts or self tapping screws.
And I can't find the ones that wrap around and bolt together, just the ones that clamp around that can be slipped on, much like a pipe clamp.

These might work. http://www.foreandaftmarine.com/7-0196.htm I have a feeling that if I take the old bimini apart it may not go back together.

The extra money for them will save replacing the bimini hardware trying to replace or repair.
