I need a motor for my McKee, looking in the 65 -75 hp range. 20 inch shaft, tilt and trim, remote helm. I would prefer a fresh water motor if available, I'll take a project motor if the price is right. I would like to stay with the big three(Johnrude, Merc,Yamaha) for parts availability. I need a deal, I work on boats for a living, that means I don't have any money. Allways open for parts for trade, just let me know what you're looking for

found a blown up 60 merc today for $200 with a clear title, it acts like one of the liners slipped down and hit the crank. I'll have to tear it down to figure out exactly what it needs.

This is a 1973 model that runs great and has been well maintained. The motor controls are included as well as 2 gas tanks 6 & 12 gallon. I can run it for anyone who is interested, call (478) 994-1890 or my cell (478) 808-6671. http://images.craigslist.org/01020501160001030120080722d66e4b0befe5788c3d005ef6 .jpg

just tore the 60 merc down this afternoon, just as I thought, it had over heated and the top sleeve has slipped down. The other two cylinders are scored. A good freind of mine has three of these blocks laying around, so I should be able to scrounge soemthing together.

he's got the powerhead together, I just haven't picked it up yet. I painted the inside of the McKee with durabac yesterday. Going outside in a bit to inspect the dried product. I found a spare bench seat for the McKee, I'm going to set it up with two benches, gas tank under one, storage under the other. I've had a lot going onhere lately, so I haven't had a whole lot of time to spend on the McKee, should take too much more. As soon as its doen, the V will be backont he front burner
