Stink - buy yourself a spare mounting bracket and wiring harness for your FF. That way you can move it back and forth b/t boat and yak. That is what I did on the big boat and small boat with my GPS. Saves some dough.
You can find them on eBay or some online stores.

DING DING!!! We have a winner!
Thats why I did it.
I already had a spare harness and transducer from a swap out on a bad unit a couple years back. I HAD a bracket, but couldnt find it so I had to buy a 15 dollar mounting bracket. Now it does double duty!!
Gonna try it out in the lake this evning and find some of those big nasty bass haunts.

I just ordered an Eagle Cuda 242 w/ a Ram mount and a Cabelas 12 volt battery. I can't wait till I get it even though I will probably have to wait till Christmas.
Cabelas has a rebate of $30 for any purchase over $150 it ends today.
