Just about, I got over $100 in scrap from my gutters and some pool railing I removed earlier this year. But steel still isn't that lucrative.

We have had a rash of people stealing broken down cars off the highway lately...we assume they are taking them somewhere and selling them for scrap.

Down here most scrapyards require a title to sell them, but there are a handful that don't care. They're also the ones paying the most money for scrap. I used to just haul it all to the dump and let them take care of it as they will recycle it to help offset our recycling fees for our trash pick-up, but they got greedy and stopped doing that.

Yeah, you are supposed to have the title here as well.....but the same guys who take in brand new copper wire, copper pipe, sewer grates and manhole covers, stuff that is obviously stolen, will take the cars.
