May 8, 1945 = VE Day

Since it is not PC to have it mentioned on the news or even have the dates on our calendars anymore it is up to us to remember what our fathers and grandfathers did for us. I hate how important dates like this are forgotten so we won't offend anyone. That is the worst thing that can be done. We need to remember the sacrafices made by the last generation of Americans so we can enjoy the freedom we have now.

It is up to us to never forget...

I am going to go put my soapbox back in the closet now.

I agree, there are a lot of dates and historical facts that are being
forgotten or pushed to the side.
It is a shame that kids are not taught about the past,
so mistakes that were made and atrocities that were committed, are not repeated.
